The house is built in the semirural, garden part of the historical town of Kromeriz situated in the middle of the fertile South Moravian lowlands in the south eastern part of the Czech Republic. The building plot itself is narrow and oblong. For that reason the house seems to be closed in its longitudinal axis and open towards the garden by using glassed-in walls. Its internal space is unlimited.
The house structure is made of wooden balks jacketed with large-size wooden bio-boards vertically and horizontally both in the exterior and interior. The large bright red surfaces form a sharp contrast with the natural wood color of the building´s structure. The house is a piece of furniture in the middle of the garden.
