This house on a free-building plot in IJburg is characterised by simplicity and efficiency. The plan of the house is stipulated by a central cupboard going through all floors, which forms long viewing lines in the direction of the water. The façade is raw and though with materials like unplaned wood and steel. Because of this, the house is in strong contrast with its neighbours. The back façade has two story high sliding panels with louvers. The panels refer to an industrial shipyard by their looks and dimension.
