The building is located in a massive plot in a new prosperous neighbourhood of the town. The house is situated in the northeast part of the plot, thus providing easy access from the street and a big free south grassy yard. From the east the house can be easily accessed from the street. The concept is for the building to be opened from the south and the east to the yard and the pool and closed towards the north and the street. The more dynamic and noisy part of the house containing the living areas of the house is balanced by the southeast more quiet “night” group of the house.
The house has one floor and about 350sq.m. living spaces. It consists of a garage for two cars, foaier, service room, two smaller bedrooms, each with its own bathroom , a master bedroom, living and dining room with a kitchen, separated by a large fireplace between them, that you can walk around. The house is planned so that functionally there’s a main line, around which all the living spaces are arranged and from where they are each easily accessed.
The house has a concrete structural frame and a flat roof that on the higher section of the house is framed with a special construction around it to provide sunshade. The roof is so designed, that during the summer, when the sun sits high in the sky, the roof guards the house from overheating due to severe all day long sunshine from the south and in the same time during the winter, when the sun sits low it lets the house receive large amounts of sunshine, thus helping maintaining a pleasant microclimate in the house all year long. The roof also forms a large canopy in front of the house, under which you can park cars and provides a dry entrance.
