This is one of ABATON first projects for a family who by that time didn’t have kids, Time went by and the family got bigger along with their needs. As the building suitability hadn’t been used up the Studio decided to re-organize the upper floor completely. Before the new intervention there were 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a tiny balcony. The new intervention included the design of the balcony added to the bedrooms making the entire upper floor bigger. The new construction generated a corbel which is used as a garden porch.
The house stands on a big site in the outskirts of Madrid with secluded outdoor spaces and beautiful views. It’s been designed to have full privacy from the neighbours. The swimming pool is located at the end of the lot, at a different level which makes it more private.
