The new building is located on the southern shore of Lake Lerchenau. The conceptual orientation perpendicular to the contour lines and to the edge of the bank, as well as the reference to the differences in altitude of the terrain, provide a perfect overview across the lake.
The living and application areas are developed on the ground level by the bank path, on the top of the embankment. The boat garage which can be operated directly from the lake pushes itself as an underground floor into the hillside.
The functional structure follows the selection of the formative materials. The timber frame construction is fitted on a concrete base, formed from the hang out. Wood and stone are the key elements of the place - it can be found in the Lifeboat Station again and reflected in the water of the lake.
